Formed in 1986.

This Old Craft cuimhne (coven) has a solid reputation for integrity and standard of teaching. many of its past members have gone on to teach in their turn - or to specialise in their own subjects and abilities. Almost all of its past members are still in touch with us on a friendly basis.

Not  a 'book-taught' group!

This is not a group for simply going through the motions or regurgitating the material found in books published post The Witches' Way, rather, it is a 'cuimhne' in the traditional sense of the word: where learning, exploration and evaluation is extremely 'hands on' and dynamic!

The 'learning environment' ranges from a permanent indoor purposely designed room, to outdoor sites ranging from waterside, woodland and through to hill top. We are based in North West Leicestershire.

The tutor's aims are that students should become better, more skilled than we, and this is tested in the final rites before you are encouraged to set out on your own; though occasional phone calls to let us know you're still alive are welcome!

It is not a 'school' where students are led by the nose, rather, a situation where tasks are set after discussion, and results are evaluated. We aim to teach until failure is not an option!

This is an initiatory system, where merit gains recognition - however, it is not hierarchical in the traditional sense of the word as the roles taken reflect the skills of the practitioner, and each is essential and complimentary.

Those with especial skills in the 'priestly' department are encouraged to work with Traditional Life-Rites Celebrants, working with those Rites of Passage essential to today's society.

Training and work is face-to-face, though the internet and phone may be used to supplement. It is essential that anyone wishing to be considered for a place be able to manage their own transport for at least 1 year (which means you MUST be within 20 miles of the covenstead in North West Leicestershire), and understand that as we commit our (finite) heartbeats to you, YOU in turn commit your dedication to making best use of the limited amount of time you will be working with us (unless you become a tutor with us after a period of self-sufficiency).

Men are particularly welcome at this time: as are ex- members of the Military and the Rescue Services, etc.
